New year, new books!

One of the delicious things about a fresh new year is all the satisfying hours of reading ahead. Such promise! It’s a similar feeling to looking forward to a holiday. The building anticipation in the lead-up is sometimes just as satisfying as the holiday itself.

I’m still reading Bruce Pascoe’s Salt, begun last December. I’m yet to finish a book in 2020. Time to get a move on!

I have plenty to go on with. I helped a friend pack up her bookshelf last weekend ahead of a move. It’s one of those bookshelves us readers dream about: custom-made, floor-to-ceiling, an entire wall chock-full of books. Bliss!

Inevitably, I walked away with a few to borrow, as pictured. My tummy’s bubbling with excitement to get stuck in! Thanks, KT.
